Aoraki Mt Cook National Park Day Trip with Driver - from Queenstown
- Duration: 12 Hours
Your Day
Your journey begins with a convenient pick-up, from the Frankton Bus Interchange (near Queenstown Airport). From the moment you step into the vehicle you can relax and enjoy the ever-changing scenery as we travel through vast high-country landscapes.
Along the way we pause at Peter’s Lookout, where sweeping views of Lake Pukaki and Aoraki/Mt Cook provide the perfect photo stop.
Once inside the national park you can choose between two unforgettable walking options. Take the Blue Lakes and Tasman Glacier tracks for glacial viewpoints and unique moraine landscapes, or follow the famous Hooker Valley Track, crossing swing bridges and finishing with panoramic views of Aoraki.
You will have around three hours of free time to explore the park at your own pace. Wander the trails, take in the alpine scenery, or simply sit and soak up the fresh mountain air.
For lunch, you may choose to stop at High Country Salmon or the Alpine Restaurant (own expense), both offering delicious meals with spectacular views.
At the end of the day, your driver will return you safely to Wānakan, leaving you with memories of an extraordinary alpine adventure.
